For parents: how we handle your kid's privacy

Rocket & Raven Press makes courses for kids, but we never collect personal information from kids directly. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from kids under 13. We avoid that whole category of data instead. Kids never sign in, never enter their email, never share photos, and never see ads.

What we collect

• Parent email. Used to send you a magic-link sign-in, receipts, and (if you opt in) the Rocket & Raven Press newsletter.
• Kid display name and avatar. A first name or nickname you type for each kid profile, plus an avatar you choose from a fixed set we provide. We don't ask for last names, birthdays, photos, or addresses.
• Per-kid progress. Which weeks of which courses each kid has completed, and when. Used only to show progress bars on your dashboard and generate completion certificates.
• Purchase records. Stripe handles payment data; we keep a record of which courses you've bought and the email tied to each purchase.

What we don't do

• We don't show advertising to kids, or to anyone, on this site.
• We don't track behavioral data on kids for any purpose other than course progress.
• We don't share or sell any user data (kid or parent) to third parties.
• We don't allow kids to upload photos, write public comments, or post to a community feed.
• We don't ask for kid-typed free-text fields beyond the parent-set first-name/nickname.

Third parties we use

• Stripe for payment processing. Stripe never receives kid-profile data.
• Resend for parent email delivery. Resend never receives kid-profile data.
• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores data at the edge. Cloudflare doesn't see kid identities (only opaque kid-IDs).

Parental controls

From your account page you can:

• Edit or remove any kid profile (which deletes all progress data for that kid).
• Delete your entire account, which permanently removes all kid profiles, progress data, and purchase history within 30 days.
• Export your data: email [email protected] and we'll send you a JSON dump within 7 days.
