Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-16
This Cookie Policy explains how courses.rocketandraven.com, operated by Chris Brock LLC dba Rocket & Raven, an imprint of Lantern Learn, uses cookies and similar technologies. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and our For parents page.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. We use them to keep you signed in, remember which kid profile is active, and (with your consent) understand how the public pages are used. We never use cookies to advertise to kids or to build profiles of children.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and cannot be switched off.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
rr_session | Keeps a parent signed in after the magic-link sign-in. First-party, HttpOnly, Secure. | Up to 30 days |
rr_active_kid | Remembers which kid profile is selected on the dashboard. First-party, HttpOnly, Secure. | Session |
rr_consent | Stores your cookie choices so we don't ask again on every visit. | 1 year |
Analytics (consent required)
On our public marketing pages only, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. These cookies load only after you accept analytics in the consent banner, and never on signed-in or kid-facing pages.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: distinguishes anonymous visitors and sessions. | Up to 2 years |
Marketing (consent required)
If marketing cookies are enabled by the site owner, we use the Meta Pixel on public marketing pages to measure ad performance. These load only after you accept marketing in the consent banner, and never on signed-in or kid-facing pages.
Your choices
When analytics or marketing tools are active, a consent banner appears on your first visit so you can accept or decline. You can Accept all, Decline all, or save a custom choice per category. Declining still lets you use the whole site; only optional analytics and marketing cookies are withheld.
To change your mind later, clear the rr_consent cookie (or your site cookies) in your browser and the banner will show again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; strictly necessary cookies are required to stay signed in.
Kids and cookies
We never serve analytics or advertising cookies on kid-facing pages, and kids never sign in or enter personal information. See our For parents page for the full COPPA summary.
Changes to this policy
If we change which cookies we use, we'll update this page and bump the date at the top. Questions: [email protected].
